My 5th Year of Blogging

I’ve had visions that led to this day

I have always been an author of verse since after high school

I have kept many writings in a file system through the years

I have remembered looking at the file and longing it to be seen

I have seen a vision of my cross necklace embedded on my brick red top

I have been writing and commenting in social networking

I have decided to open up my website and display my writings

I have noticed within a year; the value it held to people

I have received many voices to continue with my writing

I have been asked if a book goal is in my future

I have collaborated with others’ voices into my verse

I have seen a vision on my car’s frosted window (back of driver)

I have yet to aim for that final accomplishment; work still ahead.

Many things are possible with the will of God for your life

Life doesn’t always go as planned-

-You were in the hospital

-You didn’t get the raise

-You had a breakup

-You were not promoted

-You faced an obstacle

-You lost your employment

-You need more finances

-You didn’t get the job

-You have a terminal illness

-You suffered a loss

-You began to lose hope

Remember, it’s also in God’s plan.

Protests Linger On?

We heard your message loud and clear

That very first time in our state and others.

You are being careless about obstruction

Of justice and trespassing in the public.

Use your approach the smart way; rather

Than to constantly "cry wolf.”

Are you coming up with the education and

Ideals that will make a change for the better?

How about your dignity and common sense?

Do you have plans for a town hall meeting?

Try having discussions in the proper place

As a society it works for about everyone.

The comfort of the afghan

The blessing of the prayers

The deliciousness of the meal

Shoe Polish

Yes, I need my boots polished.

Showing signs of wear and

Showing weakness of color;

Looking shabby and dull.

I see a fellow in the airport

Making them shine and sparkle.

I love his work, so well done

In the finest minute of time.

The polish displayed a match

Looks all brand new again.

Feeling like a new woman/man

In the duty of his work.

I left him a payment, and a tip,

For a superior fashion he did.

It gave me an emotional high;

When you’re looking your best.

It was simply another year;

But we heard so many stories.

Misfortunes abound this year;

And we often learn from them.

Renewing ourselves in the year;

Showing love, smiles and laughter.

Throughout my life

I always found a brother.

He helped me out in so

It was something important

For me to fully understand.

He was always there

With a helping hand.

He took care of me just

As if I was a sister.

Kept me on guard in

The many things of life.

Composed of pink flowers,

Loveable princess

Lovely nymph.

Dear Daughter of God,

That’s what you are-

That’s the sources

Of your sweetness.

Those eyes that are kissed by

The moon,

From them ethereal nectar

Overflows.

Your mascara lined eyes

Hold heaven within them.

Moon and stars peep through

Clouds
