Life is Like a Game

“Chutes and Ladders” …Yes
My business life was always on the ladder
And my personal life was the chute.

A working mother never had it so easy…
In anything. Life is like a game.

Create the Life You Want Today

Social networker in quotes       Carol Kappes in ( ) summary

(This piece of artwork was sent to me by email; and I was excited as I had read this version of material. He is of Hindu faith, a young man in the thirty range)

You become what you do every day.

For example:
You smoke every day, and you become a smoker.
You drink every day, and you become an alcoholic.
You overeat every day, and you become obese.
You neglect your health every day, and you become sick.
You neglect your relationship every day, and it turns sour.
You spend beyond your limits every day, and you become poor.
You practice being unhappy every day, and you become depressed.

Likewise:
You exercise every day, and you become fit.
You sing every day, and you become a singer.
You run every day, and you become a runner.
You write every day, and you become a writer.
You eat moderately every day, and you maintain healthy weight.
You think business every day, and you become a businessman.
You work diligently every day, and become successful in your career.
You save and make your money grow every day, and you become wealthy.
You read a little every day, and you become knowledgeable on that subject.
You spend quality time in your relationship every day, and develop healthy relationships.
You practice being happy every day, and you become a happy person.
You strive for spiritual growth every day, and you grow spiritually.

Everything that is part of your life became so because you have been meditating upon it consistently.  People who are very good at what they do find a way to consistently do the things they are passionate about without taking long absences from it.  Thus, if there is something that does not serve you that you wish to eliminate from your life, simply find a way to do it infrequently until you completely stop doing it.

Conversely, if there is something you want to develop within yourself, find a way to do it every day, and one day it will become a natural part of you.

The day to take charge and create the life you want is thus today.”

(Then I said to him, “Wow!  Yes, you are right and tell me why you sent this to me?  I see a lot of qualities I carry in this piece of work.  Was this written only for me or many others as well?)

“Written to you only…”

(I do not know the origin of this article; but apparently he had seen it somewhere.)

(“Create the Life you want Today” will be a title for this.  I had given this a title.  And I will place this on my blog.  You have given me a VOICE that needs to be heard; and this will be in an interview style.)

“Thanks, and Gud luck for ur blog.  What u do?”

(I shared with him my website and then I told him my plan to place it on the blog soon.)

“Okay. You seems to be very interesting n knowledgeable person.  Would like to connect with you…”

(He was referring to connect via a chat service; and I didn’t realize it yet)

(We are 1st connections! But then why did you just send me that verse; if you seem that you had not known me before?)

“I follow u little bit on LinkedIn that’s y send u DAT msg…”

(Well, I was totally amazed by these words…and noticed it is written similar to the way that I write; and this knowledge in this piece is worth an interview on my blog.  Thanks a lot.)

“Thnk u.”

(This interview explains to us in great detail; that what is on our minds, is what we create in our life.  It could not have been said any better than this.  I am so honored to have this VOICE being sent to me and being heard to all of my Readers.  Many times I come up with surprises that not only has helped out one person; but also helped out me and many others’ lives.  We are essentially the choices that we make in our lives, and how we create them to happen.  I thank each one of you, as we all have a purpose to live for. Many times it is in our talents that we are born to do and make it a part of our life.)

All Dressed Up for the Date…

And he called at the last minute to cancel
And said he couldn’t get out of the meeting
And said he couldn’t make it that evening.

Yes, things like this we sometimes get!
At least we hadn’t been stood up.
At least he gave the last minute call.

We girls wonder if this is really true?
Or if he got the jitters this first time?
And decided to hold it off awhile.

Often for a date; it’s decided what to wear
So that we’d both feel comfortable.
Complimenting styles helps so much!

Oh well; another one happened today.
And it’s not the first time neither.
Life is so unpredictable and immeasurable!

What’s a girl to do when he made the date?

Yes, Readers; You Are With Me!

The Interview

(I knew he was seeing my profile, took an interest to it, and we began an email conversation.  This had been on a “social networking site.” Will not mention what type or which one. He said to me, “I’m curious, what kind of blog do you write?” So then I just sent him my website. I did not mention anything more. He came back to me with these words.)

“Good morning Carol,
I’ve read some of your blog entries.  Quite interesting I must say especially your verse. (Carol’s Corner website) I’ve never quite come across such a writing style before and it’s pretty unique.  Says a lot about you as a person.”

(This had amazed me in what he just said. Another person can again describe my personality by just reading words that are written. This is actually my own creative writing style. I am an emotional/expressive writer.)

“I also enjoy your almost daily photo blog as well. (Google plus posts) Seems like I’ve been with you all along looking at the pictures and reading your words.  I especially LOVE your August 24 entry.  Do you know which one it is?

"Well, it was the one where you said, “A great pair of legs in “off white” or “creamy ivory” hosiery!  Yes, they’re mine.”  I’m a great admirer of women who love wearing hosiery.  I’m definitely the classic kind.  I love lace top stocking pair with lace garter belt and matching panties.  Panty hose?  Well, it obscures the “aesthetic” if you wear it over the panties!  I’m done teasing you!”

“Have a wonderful day.”

(When I had read “Seems like I’ve been with you all along…; yes, this is how I try to captivate my audience.  I do this so that these messages are not forgotten, that they perhaps will help a person in their own life.  Thus, my spirit lives on in them. And another point in the classy dressing is this; we should maintain our best looks in any career we hold.  In the style we live, we also should dress that part.)

My Only Hope…

It is my only hope that my VOICE which
Has been heard from the east to the west
Will resonate to what I believe will come.

This world can’t continue as it has been.
We need the faith of God, our Maker to
Bring reconciliation back to our people.

I have lived long enough, throughout all
Of my heartaches as well, to know that
Mankind recognizes these atrocities.

How much more do you want to disobey
God that brought you into the world?
It’s ridiculous to think any other way.

Man was to take care what God had once
Created; beautiful, magnificent, and awesome.
Our responsibility is ours to tend to his flock.

It is the ones that bear strength, courage and
Bravery; the ones that see this to the very end;
Within repercussions of a war to destroy evil.

To the Middle East Leaders

We all want love, we all want peace
Is this too much to ask?
Uniting together to make this happen
Is the only choice we have left.

By the grace of God; and humanity
We need to stop the evil ways.
Like fire in full air of the wind
It will consume more then we care.

Terrorists cause so much turmoil
It’s unjust and completely wrong.
How can the new generations live
When fear is upon their land?

I ask for your brilliance and mercy
To end the beheadings and killings.
To start in pointing to God’s direction
And bring salvation to all mankind.
