Our Life to Hold!

There was one time in my life when I felt depressed.  I remember it was around junior high.  You know what I did?

 I picked up the Bible.  And read His Word.

It gave me Hope

To want something and eventually it will be granted in time.

It gave me Thankfulness

To learn to be grateful in life and don’t take things for granted.

It gave me Strength

To know that in things we endure, we learn to pick ourselves up and keep going.

                       

It gave me Wisdom

To know that knowledge is the beginning to understanding your life.

It gave me Love

To know the depth and meaning to the divine love that is given to us.

It gave me Faith

To believe and trust that all things are possible through Him.

This has been going on for 40 years or so

I was a young child listening to the news

I grew up in West.  This is still going on.

Where is the strong leadership and faith?

We all are humans; with intelligent minds.

I grew up believing in a peaceful world

Believing in caring for one another

Believing in helping each other

Believing in being neighborly

Believing in doing good; not evil.

I wish I could understand your thinking

What it is that carries in your thoughts?

I would not want generations to continue

In witnessing bloodshed into the future.

What is left for these people’s welfare?

If this were me; I’d become so sad and weary

I couldn’t have that smile on my face.

I would not see the happiness or even feel it

I would wonder what kind of world we live in.

I would be restless and agitated by what I see.

In order to stop this; there has to be a turn around.

A justice and dignity must prevail and win.

An extreme need of education and reform

A desire of love and kindness for everyone

And a lasting hope of our life in the world.

            As we are driving to our latest vacation spot

            As we are watching our favorite sport and teams play

At the concert

            As it brings so much joy to hear music and to be here with you
