My Heart Surgery

I just recently came out of my heart surgery
And made it back into the life I've known.

I've kept a positive attitude, that helped me
       make it through-
To see yet the joys and wonders of my life as
       the days continue.

I am still needed here on this earth
To use my talents and become more wise.

Dear Readers: After my heart surgery I had been in the hospital for one week, having my atrial septal defect repaired. It was when I arrived back home with family that this verse had been written. With 8 weeks of heart and sternum (bone) recovery, I did a cross stitch picture of a couple toasting their wine glasses in the shade trees, with mountains in the background.

The verse cross stitched on this work of art reads:(Already on it)

"Love is all I have to give,
Pleasures are but few.
The best days I spent in my life
Are those I spent with you."

I want to take this time to thank all of my family, relatives, and friends from all Corners of the World. It is a great pleasure for me to share my writings with YOU!

In my mind, I do feel blessed by my creator; as I have many untold stories as well! I believe it's His will that these are being written and published on the internet.
Since this heart surgery, the Mayo clinic has updated with me twice to see if I am still healthy, and yes I am still going strong!
