A Writer’s Touch

“I must confess that I have
Missed you so much and
Can’t stop thinking about
All the wonderful times
We shared together.

I have been reading your blog;
And I must commend you for all
Of  what you are doing there.”

Syria

Syria in a long, enduring conflict;
This does not make  any sense.
How can a “leader” be so cruel
And watch thousands killed to death?

You have no shame or guilt?  Or is
This the way you view human life?
Put yourself in harm’s way and
Get the “feel” of torment and evil.

Put an end to this atrocity now-
Shelter the rest from this storm.
Work compassion into your soul
So that others can live in dignity.

A Toxic Home

Way too many fumes in the air
Family members are dysfunctional
Living without reason or understanding
Having a negative atmosphere
Creating a massive dust bowl
Can’t quite whether the storm
Damage will only get worse
Causing physical and mental pain
Anguish appears in order to cope
Only hope is to get out in safety

You See the Child’s Pain?

You can see it in their eyes
You can hear it in their cries
You can see it in their hunger
You can find it in their face
You can see it in their clothes
You can see it in their feelings
You can see it in their tears
You can find it in their temper
You can see it in their discomfort
You can find it in their thoughts
You can find it in their actions
You can see it in their injury
You can hear it in their language
You can find it in their attitude
You can see it in their sorrows

A Beating (Brutality)

Does this give you a “natural high?”
Is this how you get “power?”
Do you like to “humiliate” others?
Do you like to see “suffering?”
Why do you “laugh” about it?
Do you like to “hurt” others?

What did you “gain” from it?
What “circumstances” lead to it?
What “feelings” do you have from it?
What “apologies” or “guilt” is there?
What “dignity” is there in you?
What “motivates” you to do this?

Think… Before You React!
