I Can Only Love You For Now

As you are becoming a teenager
As you are becoming independent
As you are growing into maturity
As you are witnessing good and evil
As you are becoming an individual
As you are becoming lawful in society
As you are becoming well educated
As you are making the right choices
As you are gaining an employment
As you are becoming a safe driver
As you are becoming more responsible
As you are becoming a man or a woman
As you are witnessing the world
As you are becoming a mindful citizen
As you are becoming your own character
As you are becoming your own freedom

These Most Useful Books

The only books you really need
For a child after he learns to read-
The encyclopedia and dictionary;
Along with newspapers and magazines.

Why? You ask.  Let me tell you.  This
Is the source of information for their life.
It is used for studies, skills and knowledge.
This is what will drive their interests.

The other important book of value
When a student is in high school
Is the Holy Book or the Holy Bible;
Along with instructions of faith in Him.

Why?  You ask.  Let me tell you.  This
Is the source of information for their love.
It is used for character, morals and understanding.
This is what will drive their motivations.

To Russia

Today I heard your people’s cry,
Looking for justice to prevail.

Elections can turn out wrong,
When people are not righteous.

In many nations; people seek the truth
And the times without it, it will falter.

Corruption is like the wild weed,
It kills victory for a nation’s need.

Early Childhood

Think back far in time
As a child in your prime.

What were your interests?  Was it really cool?
What did you do before you started school?

Look back into your activity
And was it all really pretty?

It’s given a clue to your being
That you will find quite interesting-

Were you a writer? Making scribbles everywhere
Were you a reporter?  Constantly talking and asking questions
Were you a beautician?  Combing your sister’s and mother’s hair
Were you an artist? Drawing on the wall
Were you an engineer? Taking things apart
Were you a teacher? Telling stories to your sibling
Were you a scientist?  Discovering the seeds, soil, and plants
Were you an astronaut?  Interested in the stars, moon, and sky
Were you a baker? Finding recipes and gathering ingredients
Were you a nurse? Bandaging your doll’s hurts
Were you a musician? Clanking the pots and pans
Were you a banker? Playing with money and coins
Were you a farmer? Using toy tractors and animals
Were you a race car driver?  Playing with hot wheels

The creation of what was once in play
In just a little way-
May be the talents you still have today!
